International Women in Engineering Day raises awareness of the under-representation in this profession, celebrates the achievements of women in engineering, and encourages more young women and girls to consider engineering careers.

Throughout the day, the team of girls were challenged to problem-solve various engineering tasks alongside hearing about the stories and journeys of the female engineers that work throughout the RNLI.  

On the day we were announced winners of the “Women in Engineering 2024” logo competition and the girls were also the top scoring rescue team ever in the life-boat simulator – rescuing 5 casualties’ in total.
