The Year 9 optional subject application process was completed in February, in which Year 9 selected their optional subjects for Year 10.  As not all combinations of subject are possible, reserve options will be used automatically if this solved the problem.

During March, these applications are reviewed and combinations are checked to make sure they are relevant and appropriate for each student.  If a concern is raised about a combination, students and parents will be contacted to discuss any issues.  Confirmation of optional subjects will be sent out the week before Easter.  If a student would like to request to change a selected subject, this can be emailed to Mrs Simmonds at msimmonds@purbeck.dorset.sch.uk. We will make changes if they are possible until courses start in September.

Any new students joining The Purbeck School will be asked to complete an application during their first week at the school.
