Purbeck School P.E. Extra-Curricular Programme
The Purbeck School student and Swanage swimmer Daisy Kirkpatrick kicked off the year with a seven-medal haul at the Dorset County Swimming Championships 2024.
We are pleased to share details of a series of open events for potential teacher training candidates to find out more about the Bournemouth Bay Teacher Training Partnership. The events include a presentation of the teacher training programme and an opportunity to ask questions and meet staff. They will take place on the following dates: -

As part of our behaviour policy, in every lesson, each student is given a score. Students receiving a 7 have exceeded expectations for the lesson. The following week the names of the students will be compiled and they will each receive 7 house points. Shortly after this, they will be presented with their Super 7 wristband which provides them with:

Mollie Drakeford, Year 11, has been named St John Ambulance’s regional cadet of the year for the south west.
Mollie was selected from 35 of the charity’s cadets who had won district competitions to earn their place at the 2024 national final on March 16th – 17th.
The cadet programme plays a huge role in developing the next generations of health professionals, volunteers and lifesavers. Last year, more than 2,000 young Cadets provided 55,000 hours of lifesaving first aid and care alongside adult St John volunteers.
We would like to say an enormous ‘thank you’ to all of our parents, carers, students and staff that donated items to Wareham Food bank as part of our Red Nose Day Fundraising efforts.
The year 11 football team faced a very physical QE School side who were current holders of the PEDDSA Cup from last season. Purbeck having lost last time out in the Dorset Cup to Leaf Academy had picked themselves up and resultantly turned out 2-0 winners to progress into the Semi-Final next week, ironically a re-match against Leaf Academy.
Four keen Year 9 Science students were invited to attend a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) Day at Atlas Elektronik – a maritime high-technology & multi-locational company with German roots, a global footprint and a base here at Winfrith!
