    Open Events for Teacher Training Candidates

    We are pleased to share details of a series of open events for potential teacher training candidates to find out more about the Bournemouth Bay Teacher Training Partnership. The events include a presentation of the teacher training programme and an opportunity to ask questions and meet staff. They will take place on the following dates: -

    • Thursday 18th April 2024 @ 10:00-12:00
    • Tuesday 30th April 2024 @ 10:00-12:00
    • Monday 13th May 2024 @ 13:00-15:00

    The events will be held at:
    Avon Campus, The Grange School, Redvers Road,
    Christchurch, Dorset, BH23 3AU

    • Tuesday 14th May 2024 @ 16:00-18:00

    Held at Poole High School, Wimborne Rd, BH15 2BW

  • Super 7s – Well Done!

    As part of our behaviour policy, in every lesson, each student is given a score.  Students receiving a 7 have exceeded expectations for the lesson. The following week the names of the students will be compiled and they will each receive 7 house points. Shortly after this, they will be presented with their Super 7 wristband which provides them with:

    1. Queue jump for themselves and one friend for all break times and lunch times throughout the week.
    2. An invite for a Friday hot chocolate with the Headteacher and House Leaders.

  • Mollie​​​​​​​ Ambulance regional cadet of the year

    Mollie Drakeford, Year 11, has been named St John Ambulance’s regional cadet of the year for the south west. 

    Mollie was selected from 35 of the charity’s cadets who had won district competitions to earn their place at the 2024 national final on March 16th – 17th

    The cadet programme plays a huge role in developing the next generations of health professionals, volunteers and lifesavers. Last year, more than 2,000 young Cadets provided 55,000 hours of lifesaving first aid and care alongside adult St John volunteers.

  • Year 11 Football Team Win to Book Place in PEDDSA Cup Semi-Final

    The year 11 football team faced a very physical QE School side who were current holders of the PEDDSA Cup from last season. Purbeck having lost last time out in the Dorset Cup to Leaf Academy had picked themselves up and resultantly turned out 2-0 winners to progress into the Semi-Final next week, ironically a re-match against Leaf Academy.
