Pig spotting, tree planting, leadership building

A number of our sixth form students have been completing a two term leadership qualification with The National Trust. As part of their enrichment sessions (supplemented by volunteering in their own time), fifteen students have been engaged in a wide variety of planning and physical activities, all part of an accredited award which delivers UCAS points for successful participants.
The students have certainly excelled and very much enjoyed their work, be that wood pasture creation, tracking grazing pigs or visitor experience mapping. We would especially like to thank Jill Bailey of The National Trust for pioneering this programme.
There is a wonderful write up on The National Trust’s own website here: National Trust Purbeck Environment Leadership | Leadership Skills Foundation
