Ghana Adventure

Bi-annually, we aim to offer students the opportunity to spend a fortnight volunteering in an African country. Prior to Covid, Purbeck visited Rwanda three times – please see the information further on this page. In July 2024, Assistant Head Simon Holmes flew to Ghana with thirteen students from years 11, 12 and 13.

Anloga; visited beautiful beaches and west Africa’s second largest waterfall; experienced the horrific story of a slave fort; and benefited hugely from the welcome and kindness of our Ghanaian friends. The final slide includes a link to African Adventures who are our partners in delivering this trip – we will be publicising it again in the autumn term.
