poems on our ‘Purbeck Principles'
This term, in tutor time, we have been reflecting on our school ethos of Kindness, Aspiration and Perseverance.
Our ‘Purbeck Principles’ are a set of core values and qualities that all students and staff should rigorously strive for. These values and qualities are the cornerstones that will provide the foundations for the development of the students that attend The Purbeck School.
To challenge our students, we have asked them to create a poem on our ‘Purbeck Principles’. Enjoy…
Kindness is good Kindness is great Be a good friend And help your mate Marley Johnson |
Kindness is magical; It alters emotions. Standing up for a friend creates trust; Telling your brother a joke makes him laugh. Kindness has a ripple effect; It spreads quickly And warms your heart, Like a blanket on a cold night. Thorne Beasley |
Brim-full of aspiration. Of courage and passion. She decided she was worth it. And that’s when the magic happened! Abbey Welsh |
In the face of trials, we stand tall, Through every stumble, every fall. With hearts of steel and spirits bright, We push through darkness, seeking light. Each setback is a lesson learned, With every challenge, strength is earned. For in the end, the path we pave, Is marked by courage, bold and brave. Felicity Schubert |
At The Purbeck School, we stand as one, Each journey shared, each race begun. With minds that strive and hearts that dare, We rise within, strong and fair.
Through every challenge, every test, At Purbeck, we give our best. Together, we reach for stars above – Achieving excellence, built on love. Mr Rowland |
