A level and equivalent qualification results 15th August 2024
Another bumper year of results at The Purbeck School
Congratulations to the class of 2024
The Purbeck School is delighted to report some superb achievements by students in their A level/level 3 qualifications.
Adam Darley, Headteacher commented:
“Well done to all our students. We are so proud of them and what they have achieved. This year group really has demonstrated the school ethos of ‘kindness, aspiration, perseverance’ throughout their time here. There have been some exceptional results posted today, they are an incredibly talented group of young people, and we wish them all the best in the next stage of their life, we hope they keep in touch’
Incredibly, a number of students achieved A-A* grades/Distinction* grades across all of their subject areas – huge congratulations to:
Finn Wilde; Mabel Whiting; Jacob Snell; Mathew Merry; Sophie Meaker; Madeleine Matthews; Willow Liley; Harry Hann; Poppy Cude; and Zac Tinsley.
A whole host of other students achieved exceptional results, in all nearly one in three students received at least one grade at an A*/A or equivalent across one or more subject area. As a result the vast majority of students have been offered their first University choice, or have been accepted onto an apprenticeship course.
Assistant Head and Head of Sixth Form, Simon Holmes, added,
‘I couldn’t be prouder of the students and their achievements this year. It has been a privilege for myself and the sixth form team to work alongside them over the past two years. Students have performed phenomenally well across all subject areas. We wish all of the class of 2023-24 the very best for the future’
Steve Clarke, Chairman of Governors, commented,
'On behalf of the Governors can I add our congratulations to the students who have done so well on their A-level and BTEC results, and we wish them all well on the next phase of their life. This is another great set of results from the Purbeck School and is a tribute to the professionalism and commitment of the staff.'
Well done to everyone, good luck for the future, and keep in touch!
