The Purbeck School welcomes applications from internal and external students. 

We offer a range of A Levels, BTEC and Cambridge Technical subjects.  The options have been organised to accommodate the most common and relevant combination of subjects required for university and higher level apprenticeships, however if there is a particular subject or combination which is not shown or if there is a subject you would like to study further via an EPQ, please indicate on the bottom of the application form or speak to a member of the sixth form staff.

Students who achieve the equivalent of 8 GCSEs grade 5-9 including English and Maths at grade 5 or above are recommended to select any 3 or 4 subjects (one per column).

Students wishing to study an A level in a particular subject must achieve a grade 6 (or equivalent) in that subject, e.g. to study Geography, a student must achieve a grade 6 in Geography GCSE.

Students who achieve the equivalent of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 4 or above are recommended to take a Cambridge Technical awards or BTEC qualifications in a combination with other subjects.
